Hardrock 100: The 2026 Experience #hardrock100

Another banger incoming 🎉

The Hardrock 100 goes off this Friday, July 10, and if you've been living under a rock (pun fully intended), here's your catch-up.
Just under 150 runners toe the line in Silverton, Colorado for one of the most brutal and beautiful 100-milers on the planet. This year the course runs clockwise, the direction runners call "up the walls and down the ramps": punchy climbs early, long grinding descents to close it out.

The numbers are humbling on their own:
100 miles
33,441 ft of climb and 33,441 ft of descent, for 66,882 ft of total elevation change
Average elevation 11,186 ft
Low point 7,680 ft at Ouray, high point 14,048 ft on the summit of Handies Peak.

Both fields are stacked.
Women: #CourtneyDauwalter returns after a year away with her course record now in #KatieSchide's hands and a clear score to settle. Also, great contenders such as #TaraDower #AlizaLapierre #CarethArnold

The men's race brings its own heavyweights chasing history. This one is going to be a fight from the front: #LudoPommeret, The 50-year-old two-time defending champion and overall clockwise course record holder (21:33). Ludo will have his work cutout with #TomEvans and the anticipated return to the ultra world of #ArlenGlick and #JimmyElam coming off a big win at the 2025 #Mammoth200

Whatever happens out there, kissing the Hardrock is the only finish line that counts.

Land Acknowledgment: Hardrock 100 traverses as the ancestral homeland of the Ute, Puebloan, and Diné people. Its history is too often told from dominant perspectives without full recognition of the original land stewards. We join Hardrock in this acknowledgment to help heal, renew, and reaffirm the First Nations' history and continued presence in Colorado, and to pay tribute to these homelands and their people.
