🔒 Data & Privacy
The short version of how we handle your data. For the complete legal version —

📋 In three sentences:
- Your data lives in our database, not with the AI provider. We send a context snapshot to the AI to answer each message; the AI doesn't keep a profile of you.
- We do not sell your personal information. We share only with the sub-processors needed to run the Service (cloud hosting, AI providers for coaching, device-integration partners you connect).
- You can delete your chat history, your app memory, individual activities, or your entire account at any time from your profile.
What we collect
- Account info — email, name, profile
- Activity data — workouts, metrics, GPS tracks (only for activities you record)
- Coaching conversations and derived "app memory" (stored by us, not the AI)
- Usage logs for security and debugging
What we don't collect
- Payment card numbers (handled by a PCI-compliant processor when paid plans launch)
- Government-issued IDs, social security numbers
- Real-time location outside the activities you record
- Microphone, camera, or your phone's contacts / calendar / messages
- Third-party advertising trackers — we don't use any
Your controls (self-service)
- Access: most of your data is visible in your profile and activity list.
- Clear chat history or reset app memory — buttons on your profile page.
- Delete individual activities — from the activity detail page.
By request
Submit through our contact form (topic: Privacy) — we respond within 30 days (45 for CCPA):
- Full data export — a copy of your account, activities, wellness data, and coaching history.
- Account deletion — permanent removal of your account and associated data.
- Other privacy / GDPR / CCPA requests not covered by the self-service controls above.
Security
- HTTPS / TLS for everything in transit
- Encryption at rest for stored data and OAuth tokens
- Passwords hashed with modern algorithms — never stored in plaintext
