Fit PA learns from your training history to provide personalized insights. The more data you share, the better we can help you on your fitness journey.
Why Your History Matters
Your AI coach and analytics aren't just looking at today's workout - they're analyzing patterns across weeks and months of training. With more historical data, Fit PA can:
Understand your fitness level - Accurate CTL/ATL/TSB requires weeks of training data
Spot meaningful trends - See how your pace, power, and heart rate have evolved
Provide smarter recommendations - Your AI coach knows what's worked for you before
Track personal records - All your best efforts, not just recent ones
Give context to your progress - Compare today's performance to where you were 6 months ago
Step 1: Connect Your Device
The easiest way to get started is connecting your fitness device for automatic syncing:
Click Connect for your device (Garmin, Coros, Polar, Suunto, or Wahoo)
Authorize Fit PA to access your data
Your recent activities will begin importing automatically
Once connected, all future activities sync automatically - you won't have to think about it again.
Step 2: Export Your Historical Data
Device connections import only a recent window that varies by provider — up to ~90 days, and Garmin's is about the last 30 days. To get your full training history, request a bulk data export from your device provider. Each platform lets you download all your activities at once:
Extract the archive - training data includes FIT-compatible files
Note: Bulk exports can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours depending on how much data you have. You'll receive an email when your download is ready.
That's completely fine! Just connect your device and start training. Your analytics will become more accurate over the first 6-8 weeks as data accumulates. Every athlete starts somewhere.
Tip: Even if you only have a few months of data, upload it! Your AI coach will immediately start providing more personalized guidance, and your training load metrics will stabilize faster.
